Harry Potter: A History Of Magic

Tokyo Station Gallery
Finished

Artists

Jim Kay, Leonardo da Vinci, J.K. Rowling et al.
"Harry Potter" is one of the most popular fantasy series worldwide. But before its world of magic, books about magic and spells, fortunetelling, alchemy, and astronomy, that people have been writing throughout centuries, also existed. Ancient Greek guidebook to magic written on a papyrus or Leonardo da Vinci's manuscripts on celestial bodies, paintings that depict witches and sirens, the handwritten drafts and even sketches by J.K.Rowling - selected important documents from the British Library's collection will tell the history of magic and explore the mystery of Harry Potter's story. The exhibition, planned by the British Library, was very well-received in London and New York, where it was held between 2017 and 2019, and has finally arrived to Japan.
