Circle, Square, Stripe, Wrappin

Mizoe Art Gallery
Finished

Artists

Kaoru Mochizuki, Tetsuya Ando
Circles, stripes, the contrast between white and black, as well as the wrapping effect, are the characteristics of Kaoru Mochizuki's works. In recent years he has collaborated with Tetsuya Ando - an artist that uses leather in his works. Together they rethink the Japanese traditional technique 'kintsugi'. In the process of making, they wrap the cracks or the warps in leather and in doing so the give the imperfections a new form and charm. This kind of reborn works will also be on display at the exhibition.
