In 79 AD, the Roman city of Pompeii was destroyed by a massive eruption of Mount Vesuvius located near Naples, Italy. The excavation of the buried Pompeii began in the 18th century and continues to this day. This exhibition features various artifacts from wall paintings, statues, and handicrafts to everyday items such as tableware and cooking utensils. It will guide visitors through the urban society and prosperous life of citizens from 2000 years ago. With full cooperation with the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, this exhibition is a rare opportunity to experience the downfall of Pompeii.
