Artists

Taishi Urakawa, Kazuki Umezawa, Shoma Kimura
A new exhibition featuring Taishi Urakawa, Kazuki Umezawa, and Shoma Kimura. The word “transition” refers to something changing over time from one state or condition to another. This exhibition will focus on the transition of landscapes in the works of three artists from different generations and activity bases.
The terms “analog” and “digital” are often used when referring to the artists’ work. The meaning of these words and how they resonate differ slightly from person to person and will continue to change as time goes by because many young people have been familiar with smartphones since childhood and use the “internet” and “computers.” While accepting changes in the texture of “analog” and “digital,” this exhibition attempts to capture the landscape that emerges from these changes. The exhibition will travel to the three cities where the artists are based: Fukuoka (Urakawa), Tokyo (Umezawa), and Kyoto (Kimura).
