Cao Yagang Sumie Art School was founded in 1990 by the Chinese ink brush (sumi-e) painter Cao Yagang. Teaching classical Chinese techniques while adding the essence of Japanese Nihonga painting, the school has produced some 1,500 students across Japan and held 30 exhibitions. This show features around 100 works including three new pieces by Cao Yagang.
