Finished

Artists

Tadao Ando, Xavier Veilhan
What Museum opened in December 2020 as an art and culture facility for the purpose of showcasing the valuable artwork gathered from collectors. The museum provides a place where visitors can encounter works of art that have been carefully preserved and that reflect the artist’s vision as well as the collector’s commitment to collecting them.

The Obayashi Collection Exhibition focuses on the impressive collection built up over many years by Takeo Obayashi, who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Art Festival Aichi 2022 (Aichi Prefecture). The exhibition will focus on the Obayashi Collection, with three simultaneous exhibitions: “Tadao Ando: Painting,” “Between the City and Me,” and “Self-History.

The program will feature 15 double-sided works, including drawings up to 10 meters in length, sketches of early architectural works, and silkscreens of unfinished projects.
