Finished

Artists

Shiro Takahashi
Sculptor Shiro Takahashi is known for his role in integrating computers and technology in art. In the 1980s, he became popular for his “Pneumatic Sculpture Series” using balloons as a material. As a compilation of several years’ research on pneumatic sculpture, in this exhibition he presents a group of works dealing with the Kojiki, an ancient chronicle of Japanese mythology. Exploring how people from ancient times to the present have perceived “air,” Takahashi uses his own technology bring the gods of the Kojiki into the 21st century.
