Galerie Nichido director Tokushichi Hasegawa founded the Print Grand Prix Show in 1970 as a way of discovering and nurturing printmaking talent and creating enthusiasm for the art. The annual competition has elevated the status of Japanese printmaking. This exhibition during the gallery’s 90th year of operations looks back on its history and showcases current work by winners of the competition.
