This is a showcase by the Kenji Toki Lab at the Department of Spatial Design and Information Systems, Miyagi University, and the Mitsuhiro Kanada Lab at the Department of Architecture, Tokyo University of the Arts, to comprehensively demonstrate possibilities in urushi (Japanese lacquer) work. This showcase will make you realize that urushi is not only used as a coating material but can also be used as an excellent structural material. An opening symposium inviting Dai Fujiwara will be held from 17:00 on November 18th.
