Daisaku Oozu

Taking up a concern with the perception of light, Daisaku Oozu has been capturing scenes encountered from trains, buses and other forms of transport. The work shown here reflects the light as seen through the window of a subway train. It is a common light to us all, but one which indicates both a “near and far place” (Oozu) which we can only through grasp through the dark tunnel of the underground. This exhibition will consist of the photographic works upon which the moving light has been fixed, and a projection work in which light is then given time and space again.
