It's believed that portraits of female figures by Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer and Goya have a lot of mysteries behind them, lying just beneath that mysterious smile on the lips or a meaningful look in the eye. Such esoteric expressions confront the viewer as if to speak of some insoluble mystery. Then they start knocking intensely, a box lying deep in the recesses of his or her mind. Taking such mysterious portraits of female figures as a motif, this exhibition sheds light on the madness, eroticism and ludicrousness of people depicted in Grimm's Fairy Tales.
