Kurumi Wakaki
Kurumi Wakaki was born in Hokkaido in 1985 and currently lives in Kyoto. She graduated as a printmaking major in 2008 from the Kyoto City University of the Arts. In 2009, she received the 12th Taro Okamoto Prize for Contemporary Art. This is her first solo show since winning the award.

With an awkward sense of cheeriness, Wakaki depicts the distortions and deformations that arise from combining landscape with a sense of bodily presence. On display are 10 2D works, including an installation of woodblock prints.
