The word “texture” has a double meaning: “surface of skin” and “components that make up skin.” It seems that there is a difference in how one sees things depending on what one would like to mainly see or from where one sees the subject. Individuals exist separately yet in relation to others and are also components that makes up others. “When I saw the rough surface of a wall or a concrete block with a stain and felt the texture of the materials, the word ‘texture’ which was deep in my mind came up,” the artist says. Around 30 gelatin silver prints are shown in this exhibition.
