Keiko Kamma "The Niagara Tale"

Art Lab Tokyo

Artists

Keiko Kamma
My new piece, "The Niagara Tale" is an installation consisting of words, materials, images and sounds, which have nothing to do with each other. In the gallery, viewers will see some scripted or printed short sentences exhibited on the wall or on the floor in various ways.

These sentences are the ones in spam mails sent from somewhere to my personal computer everyday for Internet trade of some medicines (Viagra, Valium, Cialis and others), and seem to be fragments of a certain well-known novel or something in English-speaking
communities.

The title of this work "The Niagara Tale" comes from "Viagra" which is the compound word of 'vigor' and 'Niagara'.
