Kazuhiko Hachiya
NTT InterCommunication Center will host Kazuhiko Hachiya's "OpenSky 2.0" exhibition as the 2nd installation of their renewal project.

"OpenSky" started in 2003 as a project "for making your own flight equipment", i.e. to ultimately create a one-man personal jet glider as a personal project (many of which are still underway). After planning the basic structure of the glider and experimenting with models (phase 1), experimenting with models large enough to fit a person at low heights (phase 2), the plan is to implant a jet engine and undergo a manned experiment (phase 3).

This exhibition focuses on the "OpenSky" project in its entirety, displaying the concept, footage of past experiments, model gliders, playing sound recordings of the flight simulator and jet engine etc, along with presentations that utilize the internet.

The "OpenSky" project attempts to show that our 'dreams' of flying can be made possible precisely because it is an individual, personal project rather than that of a group. Through this, we hope that your dreams of flying will be set free.
