200 Years of Akkeshi Kokutaiji Temple: Religious Art and Local History

Kokutaiji Temple in Atsugishi-cho is one of the "three official temples of Ezo" that the Edo Shogunate built in 1804. The exhibition will feature a portrait of the first abbot, Buddhist paintings, Buddhist ritual implements, and other valuable cultural assets related to the Eastern Ezo region of that time, showing the 200-year history of Kokutai-ji.
