The Harada Collection of artwork collected by Takato native Masao Harada is one of the pillars of Shinshu Takato Museum’s holdings.

Two sculptors, Denchu Hirakushi (1872-1979) and Yoshi Kinouchi (1892-1977) lived very close to Ueno, Tokyo, from 1939, and Harada knew Hirakushi through Kinouchi.
