Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Tessai Tomioka et al.
The exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary of Tessai Tomioka's death, known as the "last literati" in 1924. Tomioka had a close relationship with the Noguchi family of Yamanashi, making Tomioka's only ascent of Mount Fuji from their residence in Kofu in 1875. Significant works were created for them. The Noguchi family, patrons of Nanga paintings, also collected works by renowned artists. The exhibition showcases these alongside modern Nanga paintings from Yamanashi, offering a glimpse into a rich cultural heritage.
