Tokyo Contemporary Art Fair 2007

Tokyo Contemporary Art Fair 2007, held last weekend at Tokyo Bijutsu Club, is now Tokyo’s third art fair and second contemporary art fair.

In its first year, TCAF 2007 has shown mostly Tokyo based galleries, including several Chinese and Korean galleries, bringing it closer to Art Fair Tokyo in character: nominally international, and without the edge of the 100% domestically-oriented Art@Agnes. On the first evening of the fair the atmosphere was quiet and calm, and in the eyes of a visitor of Tokyo’s contemporary art galleries, most galleries exhibiting appeared just a little less than contemporary.
