Apartamento Magazine Issue 4 Launch

In the aftermath of Zine’s Mate (see our photo report) and with TABlog’s recent attention towards print as an art form, in particular zines, we couldn’t resist attending the launch of Apartamento, a Barcelona-based bi-annual publication presenting design in real life practice and application.

Throughout the week, the editorial staff turned Utrecht into a cafe, teaming up with Cafe aMoule to prepare a series of delicious lunches under the name Tasca, an everyday recipes project. As a different kind of magazine launch, the lunches were open to any and everyone. Omar Sosa (Art Director): “It’s something more memorable than just a regular launch party where people half the time leave with nothing.”

While Utrecht played host to Apartamento, the gallery space was exhibiting the work of Kokoro & Moi, a creative design collective from Finland currently exhibiting some of their printed work throughout Asia.
