The Gotoh Museum was established in 1960 as a space to exhibit the private collection of Keita Gotoh (1882-1959), ex-chairman of the Tokyu Corporation. The Gotoh Collection consists of Japanese and East Asian antiques, including the national treasure 'Picture Scrolls of the Tale of Genji'.
