Magical, Artroom aims to diccover young artists in Japan and Asia, to nurture Japan's art environment and market, to create a system that can readily stimulate and support the scene. As a new type of art space revolving around the publication of a magazine with an international readership, it strives to organize curated exhibitions, events and lectures. The brain child of Kentaro Ichihara, Satoshi Okada, Shigeo Goto, Hiro Sugiyama, Hiromi Yoshii and administrated by Kyoto University of Art and Design Research Center for Editorial Studies, it promises to be a venue that will not limit itself to being only an art space.
