Founded in 1986, Base Gallery annually holds four to six exhibitions for contemporary artist. Dealing with modern and contemporary paintings, sculptures and photographs, Base Gallery not only represents Japanese artists but also artists from other countries. Apart from artworks from the western countries, Base Gallery also specializes in Southeast and East Asian art. Not restricted to art, projects binding together art and other areas of culture, such as music, literature or food, are also our characteristics.
