Xiang Zhou + Gao Hunsheng Exhibition
This event has ended.
At Makii Masaru Fine Art
Media: Calligraphy
This is an elaborate travelling exhibition that will be held first in Shanghai and then Tokyo, jointly organized by Shanghai I-Art Gallery and Makii Masaru Fine Arts. Shanghai I-Art Gallery hosted the exhibition from April 26th to May 31st, and the Shanghai consulate-general will host the event in Tokyo, along with noted Italian furniture designer and manufacturer Cassina, and a wide range of Chinese media. The opening ceremony for the exhibition saw a phenomenal response, with audiences spilling out of the entrance. In Japan, this will be the first public exhibition of these representative works.
Featured are calligraphy artist Xiang Zhou and Gao Hunsheng, a groundbreaking artist working with seals. This is the first two-person exhibition of these two artists who have been close friends for 20 years.
