西山さんの乙女チック路線独特の世界観が「一般人にも手が届く」ポップさで表現されてる。
それでいて作品として完成度が高い。
西山さんのいろいきシリーズの「ある到達点」を感じました。
正直いままでのいろいきシリーズは、これまでの作品との乖離があったのですが、今回の作品は、これまでの作品との繋がりというか、文脈が見える。イメージがかきたてられます。
思わず鑑賞者に「買いたい。家に飾りたい」そう思わせる、ポップさのある作品をつくるようになった西山さん。
新たな領域に突入した気がします。
