Rocket is proud to present the first solo exhibition by Futami Yuki, the Grand Prix recipient of the "Kokka First Annual Print Textile Award." The exhibition will present a bed with a canopy, and original bed linens that Futami dyed and printed using traditional stencil technique. Futami says, "People are born, and people die on beds." Her work implies birth and death, yet she says she tried to represent that in "pretty" fabric.
The black of the fabric suggests monotonous intangible dreams.
